The streets of downtown Salt Lake City are quiet again after a night of protests left the District Attorney's Office damaged.  Protesters began gathering on South State Street last night, blocking traffic following the ruling by District Attorney Sim Gill that the shooting of Bernardo Palacios-Carbajal was justified.  Protesters marched through downtown and returned to the D.A.'s office, using paint to deface the building and reportedly doing other damage.  Salt Lake City police ordered protesters to disperse and at least one was arrested.  The governor has declared a state of emergency due to the unrest, closing down the state Capitol grounds and offering the assistance of Utah Public Safety to the city.
