Reopening Process Begins at Temple Square
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints says portions of Temple Square in Salt Lake City will start reopening. The Church Office Building, the north part of the Main Street Plaza and the northwest plaza area of Temple Square will open on Saturday. The plaza renovations include newly installed waterproofing and snow-melting heating conduits and a 92-flag pole art installation. Church officials say work on other areas of the Temple Square grounds will begin.
Family Of Man Found In Airplane Engine Provides Insight
The father of the man who was found dead inside of an airplane's engine at Salt Lake City International Airport is speaking out. Kyler Efinger breached an emergency exit onto the airfield and was found unconscious in the aircraft's engine. Efinger's father said that his family isn't sure what happened that caused their son to reportedly violate several security measures before he died. His father says Efinger was flying to visit a sick grandparent. He added that he wonders if his son, who reportedly struggled with mental health for nearly a decade, had a mental health episode.
Southern Utah Mountains Brace For Snow
The Tushar Mountains and Brianhead could wake up to as much as ten inches of snow on Thursday mornig if the forecasters are predicting correctly. Snow has begun to fall on Wednesday afternoon and is expected to continue through the night and in to Thursday. Tracrion restriction are possible on the roads in the mountains. Cedar City and valley locations will also be receiving snow, but in lesser amounts than the mountains. According to the National Weather Service, Cedar City could see one to two inches of snow through the night.
