Cedar City Music Arts Bringing Night Of Bluegrass To The Heritage Theater

Cedar City Music Arts (CCMA) has been a beacon of musical excellence for the past 94 years, consistently bringing world-class artists from diverse genres to audiences around the globe. From opera to dance, from the Utah Symphony to The Spanish Brass, CCMA has continuously raised the bar in musical performances.

On March 6th, the Heritage Center Theater will host a unique event featuring four exceptional bluegrass musicians, each renowned in their own right. While not a formal traveling band, these musicians promise an unforgettable experience, showcasing their mastery of real, live bluegrass.

John Moore, an accomplished mandolinist, guitarist, and vocalist, has toured extensively and taught some of today's most notable musicians. Mark Schatz, a two-time winner of the IBMA Bass Player of the Year, is celebrated for his contributions to iconic bluegrass recordings.

Rick Faris, with a musical upbringing in the Faris Family Bluegrass Band and later with Special Consensus, brings a wealth of experience and accolades, including Grammy nominations and IBMA awards. Jake Workman, hailing from Utah, has made a name for himself as a virtuoso guitarist, earning recognition as the IBMA Bluegrass Guitar Player of the Year.

The collaboration of these four musicians is a rare occurrence, making this concert a one-of-a-kind event. Fortunately for Cedar City residents, they will have the opportunity to witness this exceptional lineup at the Heritage Center Theater.

In addition to the evening performance, the artists will also conduct an afternoon matinee for students of the Iron County School District, furthering CCMA's mission to enrich the community through music education.
