Fire Engulfs Remote Manufacturing Facility North of Cedar City

Cedar City, UT – On Tuesday (February 10, 2025), just after 9am, Iron County Sheriff's deputies and several local fire departments responded to a structure fire at a commercial manufacturing plant located north of Cedar City.

Firefighters found the three-story building fully engulfed in flames. No hazardous materials were found to be present, allowing responders to focus on containing the fire and preventing its spread to nearby structures, including a drying tower and an additional warehouse.

No occupants were present in the building at the time of the fire, and there have been no reported injuries. Employees reported that the fire started on the northwest side of the building.  Sfaff heard loud popping sounds before flames became visible.

The state Fire Marshal has been notified and is expected to assist in the investigation. Authorities are actively working to gather more information and will provide updates as they become available.
