
Cedar City’s New Initiative Promotes Fitness For Families And Kids
Intermountain Health and Southern Utah University (SUU) athletics have teamed up in a new collaboration designed to strengthen both athlete care and community wellness in Iron County. The partnership will connect SUU athletes with Intermountain’s top sports medicine and orthopedic specialists while expanding health initiatives that reach far beyond the playing field.
SUU And Intermountain Health Offering A Holistic Approach
The agreement goes beyond injury treatment—it aims to help people live healthier lives. Through joint efforts, SUU and Intermountain plan to introduce programs promoting physical fitness, injury prevention, and mental well-being, especially for families and children.
“With this collaboration, Intermountain Health is extending our mission to serve more people by expanding in ways that help individuals live the healthiest lives possible,” said Jamison Robinett, president of Intermountain Cedar City Hospital, in a press release. “SUU is a pillar in our community, and we are thrilled to collaborate with them in our shared commitment to improving overall health and wellness in Iron County.”
For SUU President Mindy Benson, the partnership hits close to home. She noted ,
