With fall almost upon us we tend to look forward for what to prepare for with lower temperatures and snowfall. Will we have to buy deicer and get our winter tires on soon?

What does The Farmer's Almanac say for Cedar City, Utah for our winter weather?
It doesn't look like we will have to get our winter coats out for a while. We may not even need scarfs or earmuffs this year!
It's forecasted warmer with more snow! In fact, It will stay warm and mild in September and October, then in mid November it is supposed to get cold and start to snow. There is plenty of precipitation forecasted through spring. It's super interesting that keeping seasonal charts we can know somewhat how the weather is going to be. Here is what The Farmer's Almanac says:
November 2024
"Winter will be warmer than normal, with the coldest periods in late November and late January. Precipitation and snowfall will be above normal, with the snowiest periods in mid-November, early and late January, and mid-March. April and May will be warm with above-normal precipitation."

Usually when there is plenty of precipitation in the spring, the summer is a little cooler as well. So maybe I can actually get a good harvest next year. The plague of grasshoppers decimated my garden and whole yard this year.

For now I will be daydreaming planning my cozy nights by a fire, reading and relaxing. After the crazy energy of summer, this sounds AMAZING.
