There are those who basically say: "where you go to college doesn't matter because employers only care that you're gonna show up on time and are good with spreadsheets."

And then others say: "If you want quality ice cream at the ready, go to Utah State."

And still others say: "If you're not a Cougar you're Cougar bait."

And then the third bear said: "Utah is clearly the best choice."

So what is a prospective college supposed to do?

Well every year U.S. News and World Report tells us.

According to Fox13now.com (link to full article)

"Leading the way in the Beehive State this year is Brigham Young University, which placed No. 109 overall among schools in the country. The ranking is a jump of 6 spots from last year. While BYU did not crack the Top 100, it did rank 21st best in the "Best Value Schools" category with tuition and fees at just $6,688.

The University of Utah was just a few spots behind at No. 136 overall and No. 69 in the "Top Public Schools" category. The overall ranking was a drop of 21 spots from a year ago.

At No. 259, ten spots higher than the previous rankings, Utah State University in Logan was the final state school to make the list."

Ouch. This has gotta suck for Utah people. I thought Utah always ranked higher than BYU on these lists? What's happened.

And by the way, I recommend Utah State over both of them. No better campus life in the state! Anyway that's it.
