Why are these waffles being recalled? Because of listeria. Yes, the common and well-known trouble of listeria.

Don’t know what listeria does? Neither did I, but when I looked it up, I learned that Listeria is actually an infection which is caused by bacteria. similar to other foodborne illnesses, when listeria infects the intestines it causes gastrointestinal symptoms like diarrhea and vomiting. This is all according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

So, start digging through your freezer and see if you have these waffles sitting there, ready to cause you pain. If you do, get ready to give them the old heave-ho. If you still aren't convinced, some people who suffer from listeria might experience headache, stiff neck, confusion, loss of balance, and seizures.

Instead of risking your health, why not repurpose those waffles creatively? You could paint them and make waffle art, or use them as Frisbees for a fun, short-lived, backyard game. What about waffle shoes for your pet? You could go as a breakfast stack for Halloween.

Or if you don't want to be creative you could just get your money back.
