One Driver’s Parking Mishap Leads To A Helpful Life Hack
🚗 The Windshield Note That Tried (and Failed) to Ruin My Day
Today I found a mean little note tucked under my windshield wiper it was clunky and obviously meant to stir my ire, but here’s the twist: it did not get under my skin. Why? Because when I reflected on my sloppy parking, I had to admit I had parked like someone should have taken my keys (friends don't let friends park poorly).
Instead of spiraling, I laughed and decided to turn this into a public service announcement for my fellow Southern Utahns who occasionally color a little outside the parking lines.
📸 The Two‑Second Parking Hack That Saves Your Sanity
We all have those moments—sun in our eyes, kids yelling, or in my case, the only one in the lot so I got lazy. Here’s the trick: before you walk away from your car, take a photo of your parking job. That’s it.
Later — when you’re not dodging the St. George sun or racing melting groceries home — check the photo. Were you centered? Crooked? Accidentally occupying two zip codes? The picture tells the truth.

The real magic of the photo has to do with my laugh when I read the note. The picture keeps you self-aware and grounded. When I parked the lot was pretty empty which encouraged me to be sloppy with my parking.

Upon reflection I could clearly see how irritating it was when I came out to find a full herd of cars squeezing to fit their stalls because of my cars insecure line hug.
😎 Southern Utah, Let’s Keep the Drama Low and the Lines Straight
Parking lots don’t have to be battlegrounds. We’re good people out here — sunburned, busy, occasionally frazzled — but good. So, take the photo, laugh at yourself, and if that doesn't work, get your revenge by publishing the note in an article online and chuckle at the person who deputized themselves as parking sheriff.
