Succubus, the Star Student

Chapter 9 Falling Rocks Installment 49

There is no night or day in the land of the demons, but during sleeping hours they retire to higher caves, away from the fire and lava of the deeper core. Even though this brought some relief, Succubus and his class slept in a large cavern below the older demons who occupied the uppermost caves, and it was still somewhat hot and stuffy. This also didn’t help him drift off.

Succubus rolled over on his smooth rock bed pondering the recent lesson they had learned about cursing. He thought of the day Borgin had used the air to lift him off the ground and then slam him to the rock.

Studying the Lesson

At the time, he had thought Borgin had pushed air underneath him with his hand and thus lifted him off the ground. But recently, he had come to understand that it was actually the lower pressure above him that had caused the higher pressure of the air beneath to push him upward into the vacuum. Borgin had been using his will to expand the density above.

Succubus worked the steps again through his mind to try and understand how it was done. He waved his hand back and forth feeling the molecules flow. He pictured the atoms, the electrons and their makeup.
