Recently, I came down with a 24-hour sickness, but this one was very odd. I was winding down, watching TV, just about to go to bed. I felt great, in fact, a little peckish. I reached for a snack of nuts, and then within a short time, I was writhing in pain. Now, to be fair, it doesn't take much to get me to writhe, but my stomach was upset, and I was not able to calm it despite my efforts.

As I was pondering the quick turn of events, my mind ran to different theories. One thing I have been hearing about is the solar maximum. I wondered, maybe beyond reason, if the solar energy could affect me physically. I usually get irrational when in pain, so I figured I was just being dramatic.

However, when we went on a road trip that weekend, I stumbled across many who were caught by an unexpected quick sickness as well. I started wondering if Utah had been exposed specifically to some sort of solar energy.

Oh well, I guess it was not the result of the sun. Well, unless we haven't studied it enough. What do you think? Have you noticed people getting bombarded by odd side effects recently? I am pretty ready to lay this conspiracy aside, unless we get more cases logged so let me know if you have seen any interesting sick stories lately.

In the meantime, maybe the evidence points at me. (Gulp) I might have been the carrier, sharing it with friends and family as we traveled. Sorry guys.

Odd Shadows Appear During Solar Eclipse

Sure, the solar eclipse was awesome. But, if you were only looking up, then you missed out on a really cool show on the ground too.
