Northern Utah University Selected As One Of America’s Best Colleges

Choosing a higher education institution can be a tough game since there are so many in Utah, but this one stands out.  

A northern Utah university was chosen as one of the best colleges in the U.S. in 2025, and it was the only institution for Utah. It has a four and a half star rating and an 87% acceptance rate. Can you guess it? 

If you guessed the University of Utah, that is correct! 

The University of Utah was recognized as one of Americas best colleges this year. Though some may disagree with it, the university has a lot to offer.

With a fairly high acceptance rate and a 66% graduation rate, the numbers aren’t bad. The institution also shows that its graduates see benefits almost immediately after leaving. 79% earn more than a high school graduate and typical yearly earnings are $67,170. Not bad at all!

Being a Utah university, students of the U of U don’t get a typical college experience. There are limited fraternities and sororities on campus which have a much smaller presence than at other colleges. Also, most students commute with only 17% staying on campus.  

Lastly, it is dry campus so no crazy booze parties and shenanigans. Students have to go off campus for that.  

The total price of an education from the University of Utah is roughly $110,000 before any federal aid or grants are applied. This is well below the national average, so it is also a wallet-smart college.
