The couple was released from jail early Wednesday after agreeing to court-mandated provisions. The parents promised to appear for all required court proceedings and to avoid contact with the victim. Benjamin Sorenson was also cautioned to "commit no new offenses during the period of release." Four other siblings in the home were also removed. Police acted after they were contacted by the Division of Child and Family Services.
