The Crimson Cliffs Mustangs survived at home thanks to last minute heroics by two of their star players.

With less than a minute remaining, Crimson's Luke Johnson hit a clutch floater on the baseline to give the Mustangs the one point lead.

Then, trailing by one, the Thunder put the ball in Lincoln Holmes hands who made a tremendous move getting by two Mustang defenders, but Crimson forward Phoenix McWillis came from out of nowhere to make the play of the game and secure the win for the Mustangs.

Dixie 72 Pine View 49

The Dixie Flyers rolled to their ninth win in 10 games on Wednesday, defeating Pine View for a 72-49 victory inside The Pit.

Dixie jumped out to an early 9-3 lead, but the Panthers quickly erased the deficit with back-to-back 3-pointers. However, the Flyers would use an 18-4 run over the next quarter and a half to help build a 34-22 halftime advantage.

Nash Schroeder scored 13 points in the second half, but the Panthers could not keep pace with the Flyers as Dixie outscored Pine View 38-27 over the final two quarters to claim the win.

Kyle Lemke led five Flyers in double figures with 16 points. John Southwick added 14 points, Breckon Robinson finished with 13 points, Grant Carter scored 12 points, and Jordan Roberts chipped in 11 points.

Schroeder led all scorers with 21 points and five 3-pointers.

The Warriors were lead by Owen Mackay who had 27 points and 11 rebounds.
The Warriors move to 3-0 in conference and will play the #2 ranked Dixie Flyers on Friday.
