Between all eligible school’s in Utah, BYU, Utah State, Weber State, Southern Utah and Utah Tech, there have been a combined 36 total NCAA tournament appearances combined since the 2000-2001 season.

A team that was riding high at 22-3 the last time they faced the Rams back on February 11th, a 93-85 win for USU in Logan, has gone 2-3 since with losses at New Mexico, Boise State and the aforementioned Colorado State.

Regardless, a 65-62 overall record as the Runnin Utes main man mixed with zero tournament appearances wasn't the resume that Utah sought, and decided to let him go with 4 games remaining in the season.

In only their second ever Big 12 matchup, BYU not only played KU off the floor but set multiple new benchmarks, accomplishing rare feats that Kansas wasn’t accustomed too nor had ever seen the likes of.

For the three big schools right here in the beehive state, the beginning of the season has provided nothing but hope and optimism as BYU. Utah State and Utah have combined to win 11 of 12 games played. (The University of Utah has the one blemish here falling to Mississippi State 78-73) Not only are these teams winning but they are doing so quite handily.
