People living in the Eagle Ridge neighborhood of Cedar City are pushing for change at an intersection in the subdivision. They've recently asked City Council to install a four-way stop where Talon Drive, South Mountain Drive, South Talon Circle and West Eagle Ridge Loop intersect. Residents say the change would make the area safer and reduce confusion for drivers.

Cedar City Will Be Asking Property Owners About Water Infrastructure 

The State of Utah is striving to ensure the pipes that bring water to our homes are safe. Cedar City is currently working on an inventory of materials used to construct the public infrastructure that delivers drinking water. Soon, the city ask property owners to help by telling us what kind of pipes exist in homes and businesses. If they find pipes with lead, they will seek funding assistance to remove and replace them. Watch for an upcoming survey with instructions regarding the simple test and survey. Cedar City is committed to partnering with the community to ensure our water is lead-free.

Another Carbon Monoxide Incident In Utah 

The Weber Fire District says several townhomes were evacuated Wednesday night after high levels of carbon monoxide were detected. Deputy Chief David Reed says the buildings, located near 1700 West and 1800 South, had carbon monoxide levels up to 140. Investigators were able to trace the source of the dangerous gas to a car that had been left running in a garage. Officials say there were no illnesses or injuries, and everyone was able to return to their homes.

Charges Recommended In Semi Truck Crash 

Authorities in Tooele are recommending that a semi-truck driver should face charges after a fiery crash in November. A semi hauling gravel ran a red light at 400 North on Main Street, crashing twice before causing a final major collision. The semi finally came to a halt after it slammed into the Tooele Motor Company and caused a massive fire and damaged 33 vehicles. Eleven people were reportedly injured. After more than two months, Tooele City Police officers passed on their investigation to the attorney's office and said the semi-truck driver, Moab Stapley, should face reckless endangerment charges.

Canyon View Wins, Cedar Loses In Wednesday Basketball Action 

The Canyon View Falcons made the trip to Emery on a wintry night and left a chill in the air for the home crowd as the Falcons ran away from the Spartans 78-61. Canyon View moves to 4-1 in region play and will be at home Friday night to host Delta. The Cedar High Reds saw a halftime lead fall apart with a frigid second half allowing Crimson Cliffs to head back to Washington County with a 76-52 Region 9 win. Cedar is 1-2 in region play and will face the Warriors at Snow Canyon on Friday night.
