In the early twilight hours of a brisk Saturday morning in November. On the red rock cliffs of Snow Canyon State Park in Southern Utah, a crew of volunteer climbers and veterans where gathered and set to unfurl a powerful symbol. To let fly an American Flag that measures 150'x78' feet for a total of 11,700 square feet, the largest American flag that has ever flown. And to fulfill the Mission statement of the Follow The Flag Charity Organization to "Honor, Heal, and Inspire".

"The feelings standing under that flag at the base of a beautiful mountain are palpable. It becomes a hallowed place. Mothers of fallen soldiers have stood beneath the waving flag and wept. Veterans stood in silence with hands over their hearts, tears streaming down their faces. Most importantly, children were absolutely inspired and excited by the sight."  -Follow the Flag Team — Kyle Fox, Ron Nix

Kenneth J. Brown

This event was followed by the moving sound of a young girl singing the national anthem.  After this attendees where treated to the story and a tribute to Kenneth J. Brown.  A 101 year old WWII veteran Mr. Kenneth Brown is a survivor of the Battle of Iwo Jima. With 24,053 casualties Iwo Jima had by far the most losses in a single action in Marine Corps history.
