Cedar City's Youth Council recently embarked on a meaningful journey to Salt Lake City, marking their presence at the State Capitol alongside officials from local, regional, and state governments. The trip, spanning January 16 to 17, saw eight out of the ten recently inducted Youth Council members participating in Local Officials Day, an event sponsored by the Utah League of Cities and Towns. Over a thousand other Youth Councils from across Utah also attended the event.

Accompanying the Youth Council were Mayor Green, along with city councilmembers R. Scott Phillips and Carter Wilkey. The leaders orchestrated a special dinner for the young participants, hosting notable figures like Senator Evan Vickers, Representative Rex Shipp, and Representative Carl Albrecht, providing a unique opportunity for networking and engagement.
