Human Remains Discovered In Washington County Identified

The Washington County Sheriff's Office says human remains found over the weekend are those of a woman who'd been missing since 2021. A hiker came upon the remains Saturday afternoon in the area of Sheep Bridge Road. On Monday, the Sheriff's Office said in a release the remains are believed to be those of Miriam Salgado, who'd been missing since September of 2021. The 46-year-old woman's vehicle was left abandoned off Sheep Bridge Road near State Route 59. Investigators say there don't appear to be any suspicious circumstances.
