Southern Utah’s growing food scene is still missing a few key places that would make it complete.

I am simply a food lover who wants to be able to travel short distances to get all the foods I crave. Though Southern Utah has grown A LOT during the last few years, the variety is...mostly the same. Chicken places (not Raising Cane’s, sadly), burger joints, and pizza locations are all pretty common here.

What we need is a dumpling or dim sum place.

Now, don’t get me wrong, there are food trucks like Noodles & Dumpling Co which serve the area, but you can only go a few days out of the week and well, it's not a place you can sit down at.

No hate from me, I am glad to have it and even the ramen places that have come to town. However, a dedicated dumpling or dim sum restaurant would be amazing and complete the area's food scene.

For those who don’t know what dim sum is, it's a variety of small dumplings usually eaten with tea for brunch originating in China. There are a ton of different dumplings you can get with pork and shrimp either fried, steamed or baked.

Come on, doesn’t that sound fantastic?

Though Utah isn’t big on tea, the growing number of boba tea places is changing that so adding a place that specializes in dumplings wouldn’t be too out of place.

If anyone wants to open either a dumpling or dim sum place in Southern Utah, I will be one of your first customers!
