A judge has blocked Utah's proposed constitutional Amendment D from going on or being valid for the upcoming November ballot. Judge Dianna Gibson of Utah's 3rd District Court released her ruling early today after a hearing was held this week to consider the question. She has granted a preliminary injunction that supports the argument of plaintiffs that the wording misrepresents the subject matter of the proposed amendment. The judge says lawmakers also failed to properly publish the text in state newspapers. Attorneys for the plaintiffs celebrated it as "a win for Utah's citizens."
