George Ramirez has been a standout in his defensive role, showing remarkable growth and consistency. Last fall, he appeared in all 11 games, recording 48 total tackles, including 26 solo tackles. Ramirez also notched an interception and a fumble recovery, underscoring his defensive prowess and ability to make game-changing plays. His performance has set high expectations for the coming season, where he will aim to lead the defense with the same level of intensity and skill.

On the offensive side, Targhee Lambson's impressive performance last fall has positioned him as a key player for the Thunderbirds. He rushed for 483 yards and scored six touchdowns, while also contributing 11 receptions for 95 yards and two additional touchdowns. Lambson's background at Snow College, where he rushed for over 1,000 yards and earned JUCO All-American honors, highlights his potential to be a dominant force on the field. His dual-threat capability as a rusher and receiver makes him a versatile and valuable asset for the Thunderbirds.

The Media Day event will be broadcast live on ESPN+ beginning at 10:30 a.m. MT, with the delegation from SUU hitting the main stage at noon MT. This event offers fans a unique opportunity to gain an inside look at the upcoming football season and hear directly from the coaches and players who will shape the 2024 UAC championship race.
