Utah's Favorite Stocking Stuffers and Christmas Treats For 2024

Costumes have been worn, the turkey and stuffing has been consumed, and Christmas time is upon us. Aside from trying to find gifts for friends and family, holiday treats and stocking stuffers are abound. For my family it is tradition to loads of English Toffee, popcorn balls, and always a fresh orange in the bottom of the Christmas stockings, and of course Bluebird Chocolates. Like so many in the country holiday traditions are is full swing. It was always a fun activity for the children when I was growing up to cover your hands is butter to avoid hot candy covered popcorn into balls. My Father loved to make Peanut Brittle, anytime he found raw peanuts he would make brittle. As a child my uncle would pack his SUV with all us kids and drive up and down the local streets, windows down singing carols at the tops of our lungs, this has become known to us as the Jingle Bell Jeep event. This does seem to me a bit of a surprise as I always see Chocolate Oranges, Orange jelly filled Chocolate Sticks, and of course Candy Canes of all flavors everywhere. Though it would not be surprising if confectionary chocolates increase in sales this month.

Again it seems a little surprising that Candy canes are not in the top five. Not surprising at all is that Chocolate tops the list of both categories.
