A press release from the School of Business highlighted the addition of the negotiation track, which allowed participants to compete for the best contract in a case study scenario. Cash prizes were awarded to winners in both tracks, sponsored by Federated Insurance, Tew Investments LLC, Northwestern Mutual, and CED.

In the sales track, Luke Perkins claimed first place, earning a $500 prize, followed by Quinn Hagerman in second with $250, and Carlos Barron in third with $100. The negotiation track crowned Alice Annaccarato as the top negotiator with a $250 prize, Mason Richins in second with $100, and Drew Higbee in third with $50.

Participants in the negotiation track prepared for the event with a case study and competed in a timed session, scoring points based on the successful negotiation of predetermined items. Meanwhile, the sales track followed a dynamic March Madness-style format, beginning with a virtual qualifier and culminating in in-person rounds that tested discovery, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Professional Sales emphasized the competition’s role in preparing students for real-world challenges. “These events teach students how to sell themselves, their business, and their ideas effectively, providing invaluable experience for various career paths,” the press release stated.

By fostering practical skills and offering competitive opportunities, the “Sales Never Fails” competition continues to equip students with tools for success in the professional world.
