Chartway Credit Union celebrated the grand opening of its newly relocated Cedar City branch on South Main Street with a morning dedicated to connection, community, and compassion. Members, local leaders, and dignitaries joined in the festivities, which included a ribbon-cutting ceremony, a $5,000 check presentation, and a heartfelt Wish Proclamation for a local child in partnership with Make-A-Wish Utah.

The new branch at 1096 South Main Street reflects Chartway’s ongoing multi-million-dollar investment in expanding and modernizing locations across Utah, Virginia, and Texas. Designed with a focus on accessibility, technology, and member experience, the Cedar City branch embodies Chartway’s “people-first” philosophy.

Chartway Teams Up With Make A Wish To Grant A Local Wish

Before the ribbon cutting, the Chartway Promise Foundation hosted a special Wish Proclamation Ceremony for four-year-old Archer Cooke, a local child living with a metabolic disorder. Surrounded by family, Archer learned that his wish for a pop-up camping trailer would soon be granted, allowing his family to travel safely while maintaining his specialized diet.

Christine Wilson, president of the Chartway Promise Foundation, noted that the organization has supported Make-A-Wish Utah since 2010, helping grant nearly 500 wishes for Utah children. The ceremony, led by Rebecca Riordan, Chartway’s chief people and culture officer, featured a proclamation scroll and a basket of gifts prepared by Chartway team members.
