Easter is another one of those holidays that have become an excuse to indulge in ones sweet tooth or put aside a goal to eat healthier.  Not fixed to a specific dater on the calendar Easter is calculated to be the first Sunday after the first Full Moon after the Spring Equinox.  It is a Christian holiday that celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ three days after his death on the cross.  Easter now a days is seen by many other cultures as a celebration of the return of Spring and new life after the harsh Winter.

Bunnies and eggs have been a popular symbol for Easter since the 1700's.  This tradition made its way over to the new world with German immigrants in the 1800's

Utah's Most Wanted Easter Treat

It should come as no surprise that the Beehive State loves its chocolate.  But when it comes to Easter there is a close race between Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs, and Cadbury Creme Eggs.  Personally I love both Peanut Butter and Creme eggs but I can get chocolate and peanut butter any time of the year, and truthfully it depends on the mood I am in at the time.  Other very popular candies include Chocolate Bunnies, Jelly Beans, and Marshmallow Peeps.
