Here’s the Schools in Southern Utah That Made The List of Best in the State
A report on the best elementary schools in every state has been released for 2026 by U.S. News & World Report. The list of schools in Utah that performed well in the rankings includes a couple from Southern Utah.
Charter Schools Were Ranked Separately from Public Schools
These rankings are compiled based on reading and math scores. The top ten elementary schools include Crimson View Elementary in the Washington County School District at number 6 on the list.
In a list of the top charter elementary schools, George Washington Academy came in at number 4 on the list. This is encouraging considering how large the population is along the Wasatch Front compared to down south.
Where Schools Ranked in Washington County
The report can be broken down to school districts and the top three in Washington County for traditional elementary schools had Crimson View at the top followed by Horizon and then Heritage.
You can break the list down however you want to look at it on the site. Should you be concerned if your child doesn’t attend a high-ranking school? It really depends on how they are doing individually.
