Hilarious Costumes For Utah This Year
Here’s my forecast for what’s going to be hot in Utah for Halloween costumes this year. From my quick research, it seems like off-the-wall, surreal, and strange costumes are going to reign in 2024. I don’t know if it’s because of the election year or if people just snap every once in a while, but from asking around, it sure seems like a lot of people are choosing odd costumes this year.
I spoke to someone with some quirky, older friends who have a knack for being off the beaten path. Last year, they went as Elmo and Oscar the Grouch, but this year, she announced they’re planning to go as Jacob Marley and Scrooge. Not only will the costumes be hard to make recognizable, but they’re also just ahead of Christmas, adding that extra odd feeling of celebrating the holiday too early.
If you’re aiming for something odd and need help, here’s a site that can really help you out. Beware that there are some adult costumes that you might find sketchy in the 18+ tab, but here are a few honorable mentions from their crazy offerings:
Are you a fan of Wizard of Oz? Why not go as the oil can that oiled the tin man, a ruby slipper or the rainbow? These are all options for you.

If you are into medical, you can get a heart costume or brain costume. These can be solo costumes or you can combine them. Say you go as a brain and have a friend choose an ice pop costume (also available) and now you are brain freeze.
They have food items from bananas and hot dogs to chips and salsa. How about a cupcake complete with icing hat?
Yeah if you are wanting to stand out this year look over these offerings and then get ready for friends to break out laughing or start scratching their heads, maybe their horse heads if that is their costume.
