Some Ideas For The New Utah Mammoth License Plate

Utah’s Specialty Sports Plates Expand

Utah is continuing its push to celebrate homegrown sports teams on the road. After releasing new Utah Jazz specialty license plates earlier this year. By the way these plates quickly became popular with fans.

So, the state is now developing a specialty plate for the Utah Mammoth Hockey Team. Officials say the Mammoth plate is currently in the design and approval phase, with early concepts aiming to blend team branding with Utah’s distinct landscapes.

Local Ideas If Anyone Cares

Now I know they aren't asking for our opinion, but that is no reason for us not to give them. Here are a few suggestions of what Utah could include to really make the specialty Mammoth license plates sing:

-In honor of hockey in the desert put in a little air conditioning unit so the plate blows cold air while you are driving.

-Dave suggested that they include some mention of a championship win. You could add that to the Jazz plate too, who needs to wait for an actual victory, let's get the celebration on.

-Maybe a little design that says, "Southern Utah is in the state too", I'm not saying it should overwhelm the design, maybe just make the puck look like it's carved out of red rock, or have the Mammoth look slightly sunburned with a slight case of swimmer's itch.

Mammoth Plates are on the Way

In any case this is a cool way for Utah to generate revenue and give residents a fun way to show off their local pride.

Once finalized, the Mammoth plate will join the Jazz plate as part of Utah’s expanding sports‑themed lineup and who knows maybe the Mammoth will have 3D tusks sticking out to keep nearby traffic at bay (just another suggestion that Utah could consider).
