Ranked: Top 3 Utah Hospitals Announced

No one wants to worry about the care they will receive when having to go to the hospital. That place is scary enough.  

Luckily, there are rankings for hospitals that allow you to choose the best care you’ll receive and even what they specialize in. Utah has four top-ranked hospitals according to the U.S. News Rankings. The beehive state even has a nationally ranked hospital among them.  

Hospitals are ranked in several ways. They are looked at to see how they do procedures relating to diseases like cancer and heart disease. They are rated out of five and fall into either ineligible for scoring, scored/not ranked, high performing, or ranked.  

Top 3 Ranked Hospitals in Utah: 

University of Utah Hospital #1 

The U of U Hospital ranked in the top 10 percent when it comes to cancer procedures. They have five out of five in the six categories related to cancer. However, they only have a high score rating in cardiology, heart, and vascular surgery. The U of U Hospital also ranks nationally in two adult specialties. They received a four out of five-star rating for patient experience.  

Intermountain Health Intermountain Medical Center #2 

Located in Murray, UT this place is ranked second among Utah hospitals. For cancer treatment, this place is not ranked but is scored. However, for certain procedures like colon cancer surgery and leukemia surgery, this hospital scored 5/5. Patients gave it a three out of five-star experience.  

Intermountain Health St. George Regional Hospital #3 

Ranked third is a hospital located in Southern Utah. This hospital has a better patient ranking than the Intermountain Medical Center in Murray with four out of five stars. It doesn’t place as high performing or ranked in either cancer treatment or cardiology. It does, however, score in all the categories.
