Four Utah cities just made the list of best places to start a business in 2025.

Of the 20 cities names in the report by WalletHub, four of Utah cities made the list and three of them were in the top five. So, Utah is definitely the place to try and start a business, especially Southern Utah.

St. George, Utah has consistently been at the top of the list of cities to start a business in the U.S. and this year is no different. WalletHub said that because St. George has a low office space cost and short commute, the city allows for a lot of small business growth.

Plus, the city is good with startups for capita and high annual job growth making St. George the No.1 city to start a business.

The next city in Utah that also placed third in the WalletHub study is Cedar City, Utah.

Cedar City has one of the highest growths in the number of small businesses and a high rate of startups per capita, WalletHub said. It also has a short commute time averaging around 13 minutes.

Coming in fourth place is Washington, Utah. Washington is just a stone's throw away from St. George so it makes sense that it would be in the top cities for starting a business. It ranked seventh for business environment.

Lastly, Midvale, Utah made the WalletHub list coming in 12th place.

Located further north than the previous cities, Midvale made the list and is a great city for businesses because it has accessible financing.
