SUU Adds Game at BYU to 2026 Non-Conference Schedule

CEDAR CITY, Utah - Southern Utah will travel north to Provo, Utah to take on BYU as part of its 2025 nonconference schedule, the school announced Wednesday.

The game is set to take place at LaVell Edwards Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 6, with the kickoff time to be announced at a later date.

Southern Utah also announced changes to their 2023 contest against BYU. With BYU entering their first season as a member of the Big 12 Conference that year, the two schools have agreed to move their previously scheduled game up from November 18 to September 9.

The Thunderbirds have only had one prior matchup in football against the Cougars, with BYU earning a 37-7 victory back in 2016.
