SUU Flippin’ Birds Get Win In Opening Home Meet

The Southern Utah Gymnastics team hosted the University of New Hampshire for its home opening meet of the '23 campaign. Graduate student Karley McClain won the All-Around competition scoring a 39.475 as the Flippin' Birds won in commanding fashion. The Thunderbirds opened the meet on vault and set the tone for the meet early turning in a 49.025 as a team. The T-Birds dominated each event of the night turning in higher scores than the Wildcats at every rotation. The Flippin' Birds have another big meet coming up this Friday as they head to the Maverik Center for the Best of Utah Meet. The four-team event will start at 7:00 p.m. MT and features all of the state's Gymnastics programs, including the #3 ranked University of Utah and #22 ranked BYU.
