Coach Rob Jeter and the Southern Utah University (SUU) Men's Basketball team has made a significant stride  with the signing of Taviontae 'Tavi' Jackson, a standout transfer from Colorado State. Head Coach Rob Jeter expressed great enthusiasm for the addition, highlighting Jackson's potential to be a transformative presence both on and off the court.

Coach Jeter emphasized Jackson's versatility and experience, noting his ability to seamlessly transition between positions 1, 2, or 3. He praised Jackson's basketball IQ, describing him as a smart decision-maker with a competitive edge on defense. Originally from Las Vegas, Nevada, Tavi attended Las Vegas High School before joining Colorado State. His high school career was marked by impressive statistics, averaging 26 points, 12 rebounds, four assists, and four steals per game. His standout performances earned him recognition as a McDonald's All-American Game nominee, as well as placement on various prestigious teams such as the 4A All-Nevada team, First Team All-Southern Nevada, and receiving the Lake League Player of the Year award.

During his time at Colorado State, Jackson showcased his skills in 28 games, including a notable performance where he scored a career-high 16 points and contributed five steals in a victory over MSVU. With his proven track record of success at both the high school and collegiate levels, Jackson brings a wealth of talent and experience to the SUU Men's Basketball program, positioning himself as a valuable asset for the team's future endeavors.
