SUU Opens Camp For Upcoming Football Season

The Southern Utah University football program started fall camp Monday morning in preparation for their season opening contest on September 1. Players reported to camp yesterday afternoon, and the Thunderbirds will have 26 practices over the course of the next month, leading up to the home opener against St. Thomas on September 1. Southern Utah will play 11 contests this year, five of which will take place at Eccles Coliseum. The 2022 season will mark Fitzgerald's first at the helm of the program, as well as SUU's first year as a member of the Western Athletic Conference.
