CEDAR CITY, Utah - The Bluebloods College Football podcast, a top source for FCS Football news, has released their 2022 preseason All-Conference Team for the WAC, and Francis Bemiy, Jake Gerardi, and Brandon Schenks all earned preseason First Team All-Conference selections.

Bemiy has appeared in all but one game for the Thunderbirds over the past three seasons, earning First Team All-Big Sky honors in the 2020-2021 season and Third Team All-Big Sky honors this past year. Bemiy has racked up a combined 73 tackles, eight sacks, and 18 tackles for loss over the past two seasons. He had a career-high 11 tackles in a win over Tarleton State last year.

Gerardi has been a force on special teams for the Thunderbirds each of the past two seasons. In the 2020-2021 campaign, he punted 22 times for a total of 880 yards, while dropping 50 percent of his punts inside the 20-yard line. This past year, Gerardi punted 46 times for 1,977 yards, while landing nine punts inside the 20-yard line. Gerardi recorded a career-long punt of 70 yards against San Jose State in the 2021 season-opener.

Schenks had a breakout sophomore season last year, finishing second on the team in total receptions (39) and receiving yards (516). Additionally, Schenks led the team with six receiving touchdowns and had a season-long reception of 60 yards. He had a season-high seven receptions for 109 yards and three touchdowns in SUU's victory over Tarleton State.
