CEDAR CITY, Utah - The Southern Utah University track & field program is proud to announce that Hayden Harward has been named the Western Athletic Conference's Men's Track Athlete of the Week after taking fifth place in the 3000m steeplechase at the Payton Jordan Invitational.

Head Coach Eric Houle Said:

"Hayden had an outstanding race this weekend, especially considering the cold and windy weather. Hayden showed this weekend that he can compete with the best in the country."

This recognition comes following an 8:39.24 time in the steeplechase at Stanford's coveted Payton Jordan Invitational. This finish not only improved Harward's own school record in the event but also propelled him to the 15th-best time across the entire NCAA.

Harward has been one of SUU's best competitors across many events over the last two seasons, including an 8:43.96 and the top spot in the 3000m steeplechase in last year's WAC Outdoor Championships.
