CEDAR CITY, Utah— The Thunderbirds won a non-conference game over in-state foe Utah State 10-8 on Wednesday. Southern Utah's bats stayed hot as they scored double-digit runs to win their second straight game. The T-Birds have scored ten or more runs in four out of their last five games.

Leading the Thunderbirds at the plate was sophomore outfielder Alayah Toscano, who picked up three hits and one RBI in the game. Sophomore Emily Gonzalez had impeccable timing today with two crucial hits to drive in three runs. Senior Capri Franzen added to the offensive onslaught with a pinch-hit three-run home run in the bottom of the third inning.

Junior Keimon Winston earned the victory for the T-birds, pitching four innings and allowing just two runs on four hits and striking out one. Freshman Emily Delgado pitched the back half of the game to seal the win.
