Ugh! Some Of The Worst Places For Coffee In America Are All Over Utah!
I don't drink coffee. You might think it's because of where I go to church, but that's not the case. Nope. Dad ruined coffee for me when I was a child.
My dad was a cook in the navy, and so spending time in the kitchen was second nature to him. One day, when I was say six or seven, I came down from sleeping and dad proclaimed that he was going to make me a “mans breakfast!” OK, I guess.
So, I waited with anticipation to join manhood at my young age, and dad then placed before me a plate of rice, with some butter, and a cup of coffee.
Even at six or seven, I had a pretty good sense of skepticism. I had rice before, and couldn't connect it to becoming a man. Then there was that cup of coffee. Now remember, at this stage of life the only thing that I expected to be hot in a cup should have a multitude of mini-marshmellows floating in it, or be topped off with a huge crown of whipped cream.

I started on the rice, thinking the whole time this wasn't Grrrrrreat in any kind of way. And then I was time to take my first, and what would be my only sip of coffee.
While my taste-buds had prepped for a dose of sweet, chocolaty taste, what they got was the most bitter taste I had ever had in my mouth. It wasn't in my mouth very long. I immediately spewed said contents out of my mouth and all over everything, including my dad.
And I got sick. Really sick for the rest of the day. I think I threw up something purple that night. So coffee and I have gone in different directions since then.
Now, I have no problem with coffee. When I worked in food services I made plenty of pots of coffee for others, and even made coffee for my co-workers when we were working early mornings at the TV station in Salt Lake City. I know a morning cup of coffee (or two) is an important part of the ritual of getting started for the day. Just not for me.

So when I saw this list of the 7 Worst Coffee Chains in America from TCMA-Conseil, I knew it wouldn't effect me all that much. But, since some of the worst places for coffee are all over Utah, you might be interested.
