Utah Senate Gives Approval To School Voucher Bill

An education bill is one step closer to becoming law. The Utah Senate is passed the Republican-led bill by a 20-to-eight vote today. It would provide raises for Utah teachers and allow taxpayer funds to be spent on private and home schooling through a 42-million dollar voucher program. It'll require one more Senate vote before heading to Governor Spencer Cox's desk for a signature.
