Comparing Comfort Levels Across States

There are states that are far more comfortable with cars that drive themselves. This is from a national survey that asked about people's comfort level with using robotaxis and other ride shares that use self-driving vehicles.

States close to Utah are fairly comfortable with the idea of riding in a car without a human driver. California is the most comfortable with 46.6% feeling wary. Nevada was next followed by Arizona.

Utah's Skepticism Towards Autonomous Rides

In contrast, 69.8% pf people surveyed in Utah said they were uncomfortable with the idea of getting into a self-driving car. It makes you wonder why a state that easily embraces technology like Utah gave these results.

The answer is not to surprising when you see it. The states most comfortable with robotaxis are the ones where there are already vehicles driving around and giving people a ride. The difference is they regularly see these cars on the streets.

Coming in contact with the technology and rubbing shoulders with people who already have experienced it, helps people see it differently. In California, they already have many self-driving cars giving rides. Same with Nevada and Arizona.

It won't be long until Utah sees more of these vehicles and perceptions will change. However, it probably will take awhile before you see a robotaxi in Kashoorem.
