State Legislator Under Investigation For Poaching

The Division of Wildlife Resources is investigating an incident involving a state lawmaker in Washington County from last month. Republican Representative Travis Seegmiller is alleged to have shot a doe on private property in the Blackridge Ranches development.  When confronted, Seegmiller told a neighbor he had obtained permission from the property owner to hunt the animal, but the owner later showed up and said he hadn't.  Seegmiller was also hunting the doe out of season.
