(St. George, UT) -- A Texas woman is facing charges following a drug bust in southern Utah. Police say the 27-year-old driver was pulled over in St. George on Saturday following a tip from out-of-state authorities believing she had drugs in her car. A K9 alerted the officers about potential drugs inside and after a search, police found more than 108 thousand pills laced with fentanyl. The department said the amount seized has a street value of nearly two million dollars.

(St. George, UT) -- You can now take your golf cart for a spin around St. George. The City Council voted last week to allow golf cart driving down streets under certain conditions, such as roads where the speed limit is 25 miles per hour and doesn't have a lot of traffic. Just like regular cars, drivers have to be at least 16 years old to operate the golf cart and can only carry however many seats the golf cart has. The golf cart also has to have lights if somebody wants to go for a drive at night.

(West Valley City, UT) -- A 46-year-old Layton man is facing charges in connection to the killing of his father. Jeremy Ross Pulver was charged Monday in 3rd District Court with first degree felony murder and other felony and misdemeanor charges. Investigators say 72-year-old John Stirley Pulver died of blunt force trauma to his head, possibly from a hatchet. He was found dead at his West Valley home on April 26th.

(St. George, UT) -- Utah is the best state in the country. That's according to the U.S. News and World Reports' latest ranking of the Overall Best States, which was released yesterday. Utah was listed at number one after earning top-ten honors in multiple categories, including second in education and third in economy. It's lowest score came in the natural environment category where it was placed in the bottom five of states. This is the second year in a row that the Beehive State has topped the rankings.
