A family is mourning after a three-year-old boy drowned over the weekend in St. George. St. George police officer, Tiffany Atkin, says the family was visiting the city for the holiday weekend when the toddler drowned in a family's residence pool. Atkin added that the boy was taken to the Dixie Regional Medical Center and was pronounced dead. As the summer begins, Utah Safety Council officials say that drowning is the second leading cause of unintentional injury-related death to children from ages one to nine.
