With most of Utah celebrating Pioneer Day on Monday, the regularly scheduled Iron County Commission meeting will be moved to Tuesday, July 26th. The meeting will start at the regular time of 9:00am. The commission will be discussing various proposed zoning changes, along with discussion of personnel transfers and hires. One item on the agenda will be discussion and possible approval of a contractor for the proposed new county jail. The commission will also consider a presentation from Iron County Attorney Chad Dotson on a Criminal Justice Coordinating Council. The public is invited to attend and time will be allotted to comments from community members. Those unable to attend in person can view the meeting on the Iron County You Tube channel.
