SUU Named College Of Distinction

Southern Utah University has again received national recognition as one of the renowned Colleges of Distinction. For the 2022-2023 year, SUU received additional recognition for business, education, engineering, nursing, career development, and military support. For over 20 years, Colleges of Distinction’s selection process has consisted of rigorous research and interviews, examining each institution’s freshman experience and retention, general education programs, career development, strategic plan, student satisfaction, and more. Colleges and universities are accepted annually based on their adherence to the Four Distinctions: Student Engagement, Teaching, Community, and Outcomes. SUU provides a personalized, career-ready experience that prepares students to be successful upon graduation. The valuable educational opportunities ensure students enter the job market with a competitive advantage. SUU fosters small, personalized classes with a 19:1 student to faculty ratio and has more than 140 undergraduate and 18 graduate and certificate programs.
