Friday (12/22/23) morning, Cedar City Police issued two felony warrants at a private residence on North 200 West street in Cedar City.  While Sgt. Justin Ludlow stopped short of calling the situation a "stand off," Ludlow did confirm that the warrants were served by a SWAT team with armored vehicle, and that the warrants were in connection with the investigation of a burglary at the Cedar City C-A-L Ranch store in late November.

One person was taken into custody.  Investigators continue to collect evidence.

The action comes exactly one month after three masked suspects broke through glass doors just after midnight, November 22nd, and stole a number of fire arms from the C-A-L Ranch store at 750 South Main Street in Cedar City.

Cedar City Police Department, via its Facebook page has released further details, including that the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) was intensely involved in the investigation and arrests, and that all three suspects have been taken into custody.  Identities and charges will be forthcoming.  Here is the complete news release by Lieutenant JR Robinson of CCPD:
