Crumbl Cookies Hit With Child Labor Law Violations
A Lindon-based cookie franchise is being found to have violated child labor laws by the federal government. The U.S. Department of Labor said Crumbl Cookies violated child labor regulations in six states with nearly 50 minor-aged workers. An investigation by the department found eleven operators in six states let workers "many 14 and 15 years of age" worker longer hours than permitted by law or in "hazardous or prohibited occupations." The violations were found in Utah, California, Minnesota, New Hampshire, Tennessee and Washington. The department issued fines totaling nearly 58-thousand-dollars.
