First Responders Get Training At Cedar City Regional Airport

A mock disaster at Cedar City Regional Airport has been held for first responders this week. The mass casualty event involved three dozen volunteers as victims of a runway crash between a small passenger jet and a helicopter. A shell of a helicopter with six dummies for deceased victims and one critically injured survivor was used along with a school bus as the plane's fuselage. The bus had 34 volunteers as victims. Rocket fuel was lit to start the drill.
