Iron County Children’s Justice Center Gets New Director

Wendy Jessen is the new director of the Iron County Children's Justice Center. Jessen, herself a survivor of child abuse, has discovered, through her healing process, her life's passion which is to advocate for others who have had similar suffering. Wendy is a graduate of Southern Utah University with a bachelor in Criminal Justice.. She is now working on her master's degree. Jessen is also the recipient of Sexual Assault Awareness Month Award from the Utah Coalition Against Sexual Assault. She is also the author of a book about recovering from sexual abuse. Wendy is the mother of six children, which provides a personal understanding of the need of the need for protecting and standing up for area children.
